I found the wiring diagram in my Prowler manual for the 3rd brake light to determine what colors I needed to hook to. I used male and female crimp connectors and installed them so I could unplug the flasher and reconnect the 3rd brake light if the flasher failed. TNtraveler Hi O Great and Wise Ones, Best bulbs for use in tail lights to LED. Been almost rear ended a few times, want to be seen. THANKS stevedymo Without seeing the car, I would have to ask if the tail light lens are tinted? If they are then get the tint off and go back to original look. The tint might look cool but puts you at risk of getting rear ended. I was behind a Prowler on a cruise with tinted tail lights and could not tell when they were braking. I had to watch the third light on the deck lid. Alerted them to this and the tint was removed for greater visibility. LSK I added a 3rd brake light flasher in 2015. It's set up to flash 3 short flashes then on for 3.5 seconds then repeat until you let off the brakes. It definitely get the attention of the driver behind you. I hooked it into the wiring under the trunk carpet at the trunk lid hinges. The module is small and you don't even notice it under the carpet.

You have to cut and wire it to the existing 3rd brake light wiring. The flasher comes with a wiring diagram as the way it flashes depends on the wires you hook up.
